I have been a Wen user for about 6 months. Love what it did for my hair and scalp, hate the price of it. I tried every formula they make before settling on the Cucumber Aloe as the best in the line for me. Still I found I was not getting the right amount of moisture, my hair was still a little dry likely because of the menthol. So I discover Hair One Olive Oil cleansing conditioner. I almost shied away from trying it because of the reviews but then I remembered reading the same kind of mixed reviews on Wen when I first purchased it and decided to go ahead give Hair One a try. I am so glad that I did! Hair One Olive Oil conditioner gives me the perfect amount of moisture, cleanses beautifully and like Wen allows me not to have to wash my hair as frequently. I can get away with about 2 days between cleansings, could probably get 3 days..maybe even 4, its just a personal thing to want to have my hair clean more often. My hair is shiny, bouncy, so easy to manage. No more bad hair days! I live in Florida, humidity is a killer for your hair and I still had to deal with some frizz with Wen. Not with this one! No frizzies at all!
Hair One is difinitely worth a shot if you are a current Wen user, like Wen its a matter of finding the right formula for you. Because of products like this I will never return to regular shampoo and conditioner, Ever! Another nice thing about Hair One I also want to mention is the trial size packs you can buy. Wen doesnt offer that and I had spent way too much money trying to find which one was best for me. With this product you can buy the packet, if you dont like it try another. The investment is so much less with Hair One to experiment than with Wen.
Good, But Requires Varying Use Depending on Hair Type – E. Hutson –
It took me about a week to get a good routine down with this shampoo. I have shoulder length, fine, color-treated hair, and at first this was either too drying or too heavy (too heavy when i used it as a leave-in conditioner). I bought some volumizing leave-in conditioner from Sally’s to compliment this since it didn’t condition or detangle enough on it’s own. When I use this product in combination with the coloresse volume leave-in, I get more volume, shine, and smoothness than any other shampoo, conditioner, or product. It definitely works, it just took some customizing for my hair type. I still won’t use this every day as I’ve always liked to rotate, but I use this several times a week. It’s a good product.

I tried this as a cheaper alternative to the Wen stuff seen on tv. I haven’t tried Wen, so I can’t compare, but I LOVE Hair One. I don’t use near as much as the bottle recommends. I have very short hair and get away with 4 pumps (plus one more as a leave-in conditioner). My naturally wavy hair is never dry or frizzy, anymore. Even with the extra pump left in, my hair never feels oily, heavy, or–well, anything except for clean! I’m a low maintanence person and I love that I can just towel dry my hair and my curl comes out on its own. The best part for me is that I’ve always had a problem with terrible dandruff/psoriasis (nasty case of it) and now I can go months without needing to break out the T-gel. Everybody’s hair is different, but I think everybody should give this product a try because if they are lucky enough to have the right type of hair to have the same results I’ve had it will make them so happy they switched!

I came across this product while looking at reviews for Wen. Since I have to get it imported into Australia it is quite costly but I decided to try it anyway. I could not be happier with the product. I have just finished one bottle and purchased two more. It smells great and feels great in your hair. It works wonderfully as a detangler, the comb pretty much glides through my hair. I don’t exactly follow the instructions, I just grab a handful and put it on all over. It rinses out nicely too. I thought it might leave your hair with a bad creamy un-rinsed looked, but it did not. You do however have to rinse very thoroughly.
Even while my hair was drying I could feel my hair was just so soft. I naturally have dark hair which I bleach to a mid white blonde and my hair always feels VERY dry and badly falls out while detangling it in the shower, but just after one wash I could feel the difference. I lose minimal hair now. I also have a problem with all shampoos and conditioners I use stripping the toner from my hair (even good silver shampoos I have tried) but while using this product my hair stays the same shade I leave the hairdresser with. No more ugly yellow tones in my hair!!
7 months later and I am still very happy! I would recommend this product to anyone with coloured hair no matter what condition it is in!!
